This Girl's Life takes a peak into the world of a young female porn star named Moon. She is one of the most popular porn stars around a woman who is sexually uninhibited; she prides herself on always being in control of her life, but events begin to change when Moon decides to leave the industry. She wants to take care of her ailing father who is in the late stages of Parkinson's.

Moon is set up on a blind date with Kip someone that she is attracted to physically and emotionally; however he has no idea that her business is pleasure. As Moon reveals the truth to Kip, she begins to examine her life through the eyes of another person.

She has always justified her job to her best friends that it's just sex and no one is getting hurt; however trouble ensues when Moon uses her sexuality to manipulate a married man and a good friend’s fiance. Moon is used to calling the shots, and is compensated accordingly, but now emotions cannot be ignored and her personal life is affecting her career.

An aspiring New York model, Brier (Pell James) falls in love at first sight with a struggling musician, Luke (Steven Strait) when they suddenly cross paths on a subway train. Having achieved success as a model, she decides to move to L.A. to launch an acting career. She wanted to become a dancer but it didn't work out. With the support of her agent and sometimes surrogate mom, Carrie (Carrie Fisher), she lands a spot in an acting class where she befriends another would-be actress, Clea (Ashlee Simpson). While out on the town, Brier crosses paths with Luke once again in a club called 'The Mint'. The two girls realised that he was actually a good musician. They then decided to help him and set out to create some L.A. style hype to get him noticed by a record company. As his profile rises, so do the demands of his budding new career and they both discover that the price of fame may be higher than anyone expected.
