The film is mostly narrated in first-person by the protagonist Ishbo, either in voiceover or directly addressing the camera mid-scene. Its humour is made up largely of its many anachronistic gags, such as Ishbo's glasses and other inventions, marijuana use, feminism, gay pride, and modern military style training.
